- In recent years I've been on a personal exploration of who I am and why, prompted by many things, but most especially by the (unfortunate??) convergence of my mother's ever-increasing craziness before her death and my husband's entrenched stagnation at mid-life. Swimming against a tide, desperately trying not to lose my way and my self, I started talking to strangers (online) in about 2005. A few years later, all this typing-talking led to actual pen and paper writing. I began jotting down thoughts and feelings, then stories and essays... but it was all for my eyes only. Now suddenly I'm finding all sorts of value in writing. And so, why not blog? Common themes that keep circling up for me are - desire, connection, relationship, fear, control, struggle, effort, perseverance, change, dependence, independence, freedom, love and balance. Yeah I know that's a L O N G list! :) I believe that being aware of the presence and movement of such themes in my life is important for maintaining health and well being. I'm hoping that by writing and sharing about such stuff here, I will encourage acceptance, growth, and peace.
